Longer trailer

we went from a 31' TT to 38' 5er and couldn't be happier...never limited on campsites, tows like a dream. Would go longer but wouldn't fit in our spot next to the house.

Biggest difference will be in the weight and the hills.

Check out the Coachman Apex 288BHS. It is the same as TerryAllen mentioned above. It is easily half ton towable and fits in most campgrounds. The only time we run into trouble booking a space is campgrounds with 26' max length.

x2 on camping sites and towing. I don't notice much difference towing my 14' cargo trailer compared to our 34' TT. yes it's longer, but as far as handling, towing ride etc, there is some difference but not all that much. going from 27 to 34 probably won't notice much if any.

as far as campsites it will depend a lot on what you want and where you are. RV parks, not an issue, new CG with full hookups probably not an issue. old FS campgrounds out west, that's where we have to be carefull and call ahead. some are an no go, some are only limited sites that can handle us.

X2, we already notice that limitation with our 35 ft Windjammer.

The main reason we went back to TT was the four steps to get in the 5th w then the steps inside. The DW and I are pushing 80 and I find it better for me to hook up etc with the TT. I have a shell on the TV and put a lot of stuff inside. I still have the 5th w but now I use it as a rental in Yuma during the winter

Mine is 36 ' give or take a few inches and I have no problems getting a site wherever I go. It is Cummins no G.

Yes all you will really notice is lack of campsites. And BTW. Mine is 31' nose to tail. It is too long for the good campsites.
Also. It has a outside door for the bathroom, sleeps 10, and has plenty of room.

We went from a 34 ft TT to a 40 ft 5th w. Towed it for one year and two much trouble find sites that it would fit. Went back to a 26 ft TT, it was two small. Now have a 32 ft TT and still two small. We really like 34 ft size
