Interesting idea!
I have a couple of waterbed heater mats at my S&B, similar to this:

I could put one on the floor -- or the wall -- if i am willing to wait till next year or have someone ship it to me.
It's funny because i do put a regular heating pad (the kind you put on a sore back) on the floor under my feet. My cat gets one too, for his tiny feet. Or sometimes we share.
But the 300watt waterbed one is a nice output for heating the van.... if I can avoid having it get too hot and melt stuff or itself. Would require careful positioning of its thermostat's probe.
Or the My Heat, or the quartz heater... these also seem to have good potential and would involve less tinkering.
