Plus you will lose additional for trading in an RV that needs immediate repair.
Where I live $6,000 to fix would still be a $1,000 short of just the sales tax of new $70k RV would be and that's before any depreciation after a year.
I would keep fixing up old compared to new if just a $$$ decision. If other decision come into play ( design or livability ) then I might re-think.
