Have you actually GONE to the Camping World?? Our 5th wheel needed repairs last January, so we called an upcoming CW along our route to FL - they got us in the next morning, did the repair, plus we decided to add a Fantastic Fan since our 5er didn't have one. Our dogs were welcomed into the waiting room; and everyone was friendly and helpful. It was an all-around nice experience :-)
Regarding buy an RV from them? They are HUGE - and "huge" often means discounts from the mfrs? I'd certainly look there and get a quote or two? You can always say "no" if you get a bad vibe.
Yep. We're tried to deal with them with issues related to our current coach, but they're been such a pain just getting an appt. that we've never bothered with them. Since it's not under warranty it hasn't been a big deal to go other places, but with a new one, it would be.
And we're talked to the sales guys. It just feels icky. The capper was that we were standing in a brand new unit we wanted and there was a puddle on the floor where water had gotten in from an open vent above and there was white mold forming on the baseboard and a squishy spot in the floor. I said, "Well, I wouldn't want this one, we'd have to get it in from another lot." And the guy says, "We'll clean that up for you before you buy." Like just cleaning it is the only problem? Um, no. I'm not starting out in a new unit that I know already has water damage. So my confidence, already low to begin with, went even lower.
