We tow a Fiat Abarth - the sporty souped up version
It wasn't particularly cheap, but it has all the bells and whistles. It is very easy to connect and tow - has to be standard transmission
We have had ours for a couple of years and so far no problems. Only drawback of the Abarth version is lack of ground clearance due to cowling along the sides. We too noticed several being used as tow vehicles and this prompted us to investigate and buy.
