Humorous as to seeing many FCA Darts for sure because I live only 116 air miles from where FCA's Darts are made and yet we are very lucky the see as many as one of them a week in our region. Yup, they are nixing the Dart and for very good reasons as it's a big loser for FCA and very poor seller! Also notice that FCA is moving Jeep building to Toluca, Mexico from Belvidere, Illinois too. Won't have to ship the Mexican made engines north thousands of miles to the U.S. for the engines any more. Then they can import the engines in the Mexican made vehicle and save money. Smart!?!?!?. What it really means is: Simply, bye bye for so many more American jobs but why not since FCA is actually an Italian owned and run corporation anyway!
Wow there is so much BS in this post, even for you TN.
One maybe if you remove your blinders you might see more of them. My DD has one and in 30K miles has been in the shop one time for a noisy oil pump that was fixed in two hours. I have been in the Cruz and it is not even close to the Dart in comfort, ride and interior space. The Ford Focus has a little better ride but lack the Darts interior space.
The engines for the Dart are 2.0 made in Dundee, Mich and the 2.4 that is being built in Trenton, Mich for the Dart. The 2.4 is built in Mexico but for vehicles built in that country.
No jobs are being lost in the US and FCA is investing billions in it's N. American plants, Toledo Jeep 800M, Belvedere, Ill. 350M and Stirling Mich 1.07B. Looks like a whole lot of jobs for hard working Union members here in the good ole USA to me!
So what about GM and Ford moving their small cars to Mexico TN? Your hatred for anything Chrysler is making you look like a grumpy old man there guy. The workers at GM's Lordstown plant are not long for this world as there is just not any profit in small cars built here in the States. That is why Ford, GM and FCA are moving small cars south of the border, $12 per hour is a whole lot less then $29 in anyones book!
