Interesting........
We aren't big on 'techno' devices.
Miss Garmin sent me down a route that turned into a pipeline construction road and another time had me turn left on road that ended in a cemetery (real fun turning a 34' 5vr around between old headstones and large pine trees).
After that Miss Garmin got muffled and we went back to Atlas Map etc.
We traveled majority of times using secondary/back roads.
In 7 yrs. of travel we only encountered 'surprise' low clearances 3 times and we just turned around and went alt. route----part of the adventure.
Other low clearances were well marked in advance.
Our 5vr is 13'4" and the biggest issue was low branches in CGs and hanging over streets.
OH..watch for them streets signs placed right at edge of curb on some streets. They can get real close to side of rig when going thru towns
Look UP........Look UP.......Look UP :B
