Low Clearance Alerts?

I think it depends on the Garmin model what options you have. Go to settings and make sure you hsve selected fastest route rather than shortest route. Shortest may take you on logging roads if the distance is shorter. There is also usually a preference setting for major highways that is helpful but not all models have them.
