LT Tire Recall

NHTSA Recall ID Number : 22T013
Synopsis : Zhaoqing Junhong Co., Ltd. (Zhaoquing) is recalling certain Antares Comfort A5 tires, size LT265/75R16 10PR 123/120S. The belt may separate from the tire. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles." Belt separation may lead to loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. The remedy is currently under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Zhaoqing's customer service at 1-758-363-7668.

    And on Wednesday, August 9, 2000, Bridgestone/Firestone (Firestone) and Ford announced jointly that Firestone will recall approximately 14.4 million tires that contain a safety-related defect.

    Yet people still buy lots of Bridgestone & Firestone tires and live to tell about it..

    For over 25 years I have had excellent service with Goodyear tires on 4 different Dodge Rams 1500 including a former Ram 2500 V-10. Also on TT tires. Also good service with TT Maxxis tires. No need to change to other brand. Cheers

    A manufacturer has voluntarily recalled two types of their condoms distributed by the Schiffert Health Center because they failed to meet federal testing standards.

    The recalled condoms are the ?Luscious Flavors? and ?Assorted Colors? types of LifeStyles condoms.

    The defective condoms were made in India and have expiration dates between November 2002 and June 2006.
