Are they worth having? Do they empty faster? Thanks

My dump station is right beside my generator. I took 2 feet of black and white 12g wire and wired them (fused on the hot wire) to the hot wire input on the generator, and the generator's ground wire. I have an indoor/outdoor connector on the wire, and put a matching one on the macerator.
