Macerator Pump

I used to use 30' of sewer hose but I now use my macerator pump to dump at home. You don't get the big rush of water out of the black tank but I also use a toilet wand for more thorough rinsing.

Use a portable FloJet Macerator to pump 75' with a 2' incline when visiting my sister.

Would NOT want to do it ALL the time as you do not get that WHOOSH Effect from heavy/volume of liquids rushing out of waste tanks thru a 3" hose

We did for 9 months, pumping it over 220' to the inlaws septic while we built our new home.

The first purchase after our new to us class A was a macerator. While I guess now I could deal without at first the thought of the 3-4" (Whatever the size) sewer hose and storage of was not something that excited either of us. We've used it basically issue free for 6 months now. I had to disassemble it one time to remove a clog from the grey water bypass but haven't had issues since (that was my fault for not rinsing after flushing the black tank). We've got a drain hose if anything ever fails but it's still boxed up and we hope to never have to use it.

Yes, I use a macerator at home. Imminently acceptable solution. Been doing it 10 years. My cleanout plug is about 60 feet away and level. It is no problem at all.

The OP has also concurrently posted this thread in which he describes how he sometimes (or often) can't find a dump station nearby that's convenient for use, which I would assume is why he's asking about a waste macerator he can use at home to service his tanks. If that's the case gravity generated "WHOOSH", whether real or perceived, is irrelevant. I haven't "WHOOSHED" in years yet this is what the output of my FloJet Waste Macerator looks like when I'm done servicing my tanks. :B

I use a macerator at home. I get everything all set up pull up my lawn chair grab a beer and flush away. Water runs clear like in SoundGuy's picture when Im done

What size wire did you run for the macerator? Did you run it right from the battery?

Most would recommend 10 gauge but I used ~ 20' of 12 gauge and have been using it for years with no issues at all. I ran it through a length of black hose I happened to have in the workshop to protect the cable as it runs back from the battery on the tongue to the 7-pin Bargman I mounted near the waste gates. Power comes from the battery but I ran the positive through a 20 amp rated toggle switch so I can control the pump either from the waste gate location (using the switch on the macerator) OR when camping from the tongue area (using the toggle switch) in cases where I might be off loading macerated black water into waste water Aquatainers in the back of my truck. Controlling the pump from this location allows me to monitor the tanks as they fill, without overflowing. ;)
