I use wireless tow lights. Picked up rechargeable batteries at WAmart to keep battery cost under control.
I sit the lights inside the toad on the upholstered shelf behind the rear seat so they are visible through the rear window. I used some Velcro on the bottom to hold them in place.
They work well, are out of the weather and takes seconds to install,
I hope you remember to take them down before driving the toad.

Anyone have any issues like ScottG mentioend with the ones with wires and rubbing the paint?
it all depends on where/how you route the wires. if they are left open to where the wind can catch them, it certainly is possible. I never had any issues however.

- We_Cant_WaitExplorerTractor Supply has a nice set at a reasonable $.
- ValkyriebushExplorer IIHF will do the job. I have a heavy duty, expensive one also, that I bought from U haul. I've yet to use it as the wiring is thick and heavy and much better quality. The HF is light and easier to secure wiring and does the job. I did not know wireless ones existed. That's the way I'd go now if I didn't want to wire my toad.
- ScottGNomadJust a warning, I used them once and the wires that were laying across the car rubbed right through the paint.
The wireless sounds ideal. - et2ExplorerThey're expensive, but rechargable wireless. Just throw on toad turn on and plug in transmitter into MH 7 pin connection at rear.
