I agree that simplicity is the essence of freedom, but I find neatness to be empowering and makes me feel free. I can't explain it, but I like to be surrounded by beauty (in my eyes).
I understand that I'm in the minority on this one and that's OK with me. This is a personal preference thing only, I'm not advocating a position. I have a fairly good idea of what makes me happy and fulfills me. Just trying to make my life easier by finding better solutions.
