I love the idea, but I don't know how we'd do that and still allow access to the storage under the bed. The tracks would block the bed from rising on the hinge.
You already have a plywood cover, i.e. hinged lid for storage and base for mattress. Mount low riser sliders on that and another plywood on top for slider and mattress base. Do not allow them to go completely to the head, allow enough room for the hinge bottom to continue to rise.
Install a latching devise to stabilize the top plywood from sliding until it is released to allow it to slide to make it up.
