Many say get FL mail service, but which one do you have?

We went a different route.
When we went full time, we changed our US mail address to that of our daughter. When we talk, we ask about what mail we have received. (Most important things like bills and such are handled online) She sorts out the junk, and saves the rest to send to an address we give. Real important items can be scanned and and sent via email.
I like the fact that someone that I know is handling our mail.

Been using the Escapees service in Crestview Fl. for three years. No problems at all, and folks there are easy to work with. They will hold mail indefinitely. I have only used the scan option a couple times; they have given me no reason to be concerned. There are no contracts; you just pay for monthly blocks. I think 3 mos is the minimum but the longer the block, the lower the price. Myrvmail.com

I use Escapees Mail service out of Livingston, Texas. They haven't failed me yet.

I full time. Been using St Brendan's Isle for about 4 years now. Works great.

we're not full time but are gone for 3-months at a time. we opted to try a slightly different option for our mail during our spring trip we rented a box at our local UPS Store for $20 p/m and have our mail forwarded there. whatever mail doesn't it in the box is set aside for us. when we're ready to have mail sent to us we call, give them the address, they package it up (less the obvious junk mail flyers) and send it to us for the price of the packaging and postage. so far, so good.

Find a UPS STORE in your area.
Emphasis on the word STORE. It is NOT the UPS mail.

They will hold, send or do whatever you want with your mail. AND it gives you a real address. IMHO they are the best place to work with when it comes to you mail. It is a franchise and found just about in every town. Of course if you are on the road it doesn't really matter which one you sign up with.

Each store is privately owned and IMHO a real pleasure to work with when it comes to my mail.
