we had a topper loved it
we now have a spa sensations walmart memory foam mattress
also very happy with it
there are TWO values associated with memory foam
one is the thickness AKA 3"
the other is the weight, which corresponds to the Density of the foam
5# foam is denser than 3# foam
the most expensive brands list the foam density
a 3# density foam will compress more than 5# density foam when the same weight aka body is sleeping on it
toppers don't always list the density, but mattress sales usually do
anyway if you can get the numbers, always go the the denser heavier foam
