I put a 3-inch topped on my off-road POPUP trailer. Did great...
I have a coupld of issues however one being the 3-inches added height got pressed down some when the roof is let down setting up for travel mode.
The other bigger problem I have with my magic foam is it gets hard as rock as the temps approach freezing. If you are laying in bed all night and it gets way down in temperature when you get up you can see where you way laying big time until it all warms back up inside haha.. The MAJIC FOAM pillows do the same thing. Left some pillows in the truck over one freezing night and they froze up like a rock... Had to bring them inside the heated trailer to get soft again... I'm guessing all magic foam things do this when they get real cold...

We have a couple of memory foam pillows in our MH and I couldn't believe how HARD they got from a cold night or two! Now I understand and don't feel so creeped out.
Our current came-with-the-unit mattress is good sleeping, but the idea of a topper sounds heavenly. We sleep alright now, but how long will that mattress really hold up...need to add a topper to our list...
