Mattress topper, memory foam?

I am considering purchasing a topper for my queen mattress.
I see ads for memory foam, but with different designations, such as Cloud 9 3.3, 5.5 etc.
I am looking into a 3" or 4" thick topper.
What has other experienced?
Is the memory foam over sell?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    We used a 4" one we got from Sam's Club for 13 years in 2 different 5vers. We always slept great on it.

    We also got the Costco one and love it! Trimmed it with a electric knife, real easy.

    The foam topper has been great for us the last 10 years of fulltiming. Wouldn't be without it.

    We have an 8 inch memory foam...Spa Sensation from Wal Mart. Like it so well bought one for the house! Best $200 I've spent in a long time.

    Same Club sells a 4" gel foam for $99. I trimmed it from 80x60 to 75x60 to match our trailer short-queen. Laid it on as a topper and that bed is now the most comfortable I own.

    We put a 2" topper on our ultra-cheap TT mattress when it was new and made it so nice we never needed to upgrade it.
    I say go for it!
