I had a
TurboMaxx fan on my previous trailer and was very pleased with it. It moved a lot of air, was quiet, and you could run it during the rain. Our present trailer has two Fantastic Fans to which I have added the Max Air
"Fan Mate" covers. Normally, a Fantastic Fan must be closed during rainy weather but now I can run them and leave the vents open when I want.
If I had to do it over, I would have the TurboMaxx fan instead of the Fantastic. The Fantastic have a tendency to stick in the closed position and are frequently hard to open. Yes, I know there is a fix (temporary) but I don't feel like going up on the roof and taking the covers off and doing it. What it needs is the gasket replaced. I have spoken with the Fantastic Fan people several times about this and they always just give me a foil pack of lubricant and tell me to put it on. This is the main reason I prefer the MaxxAir unit over the Fantastic.
Both work equally well in moving air and are almost the same in quietness with the TurboMaxx having a slight advantage - probably because the actual fan is located outside the trailer.
I have no experience at all with the new MaxxFan Deluxe.
