My daughter has medicare now and Medicaid. It's a nightmare, she takes valium and Medicaid will only refill a few days before the date, also they won't the others either. I have several months supply of my arthritis meds and others and for her still trying to get the script. Plus here in Indiana drug abuse is so rampant I have to physically go by the office and sign to get the actual prescription, in fact periodically they do testing and I know part of it is to see if you are taking drugs you should not. I told them I will pay out of pocket if necessary as I'm not planning on being home in 30 days. I can get everything else, not sure what I will do about the valium. She has Williams Syndrone and without it she has
anxiety issues. She was on topomax for a long time and that was a nightmare getting her off. Guess we will find out what we can do this trip. If need be I can share my premarin and she could take across the counter pills for her stomach, its just the one. I'm also taking antibiotics I've saved back as she gets diverticulitis and is hospitalized for a week at a time to clear it. They won't give me extras, but I've had the same meds for myself on occasion and save some, I know, wrong, wrong, wrong. But we can tell if she is starting an episode and if I can get her on antibiotics quickly it might save a hospitalization.
My husband works overseas and he can walk in a pharmacy and just buy across the counter many of the same antibiotics we have to sign our life away for here.
