MERRY CHRISTMAS

After a bad motorcycle accident 5 years ago that left me with a crippled leg, my focus was on how to become "normal" again. It took a while to realize I can't be the way I was. Since joining rv.net, and following, and sometimes posting to, this forum, I found that everyone faces challenges and there is no "normal". I may be worse off than some, but better off than others. We all enjoy life the best we can. I am thankful for the fellowship and support of everyone here. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!
  • We are not dis-abled we are able to do a lot of things; just have to learn to do them a bit differently. I also like Chockful of Nuts's way of handling things!

I have Congestive Heart Failure; Coronary Artery Disease; Cardiomopathy; Ischemia; which causes fatigue; Shortness of Breath; and heart pain. But I will not give up until they plant me under the grass////////! Irover

Everyone Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and safe travels to all.

    Merry Christmas to you.

Best advice I received when becoming disabled: "Focus on what you CAN do, not what you CAN'T do."

My DH has stage 4 lung/heart disease, plus chronic lung infection so he frequently feels fatigued and breathless. Still, he says "I can be sick at home in my bed or I can be sick in the woods. I choose the woods." He is my inspiration.

  • I agree that there is no such thing as "normal" and I also agree that we each have to do the best we can with what we have!

With your new and improved outlook on life you will do fine and I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.:)
