- Cobra21ExplorerI wouldn't use them on my body either...but they sure work great for the car and RV waxes that call for them. Cut them up and use them to wax the RV!
Brian - SpoiledRottenExplorerAnd if you drop one on the ground, everything they touch sticks to them. I tried using them for golf towels. When you lay them on the ground, they pick up anything close to them. (Hard to get them to release pine straw).

Somebody with the same reason for not liking them. Nobody gets it when I tell them I can't stand to touch them.

yep, near as I can tell, microfiber towels are plastic and we all know how plastic soaks up water. :)
bumpy - Dennis_M_MExplorerIf you get the right quality, they are great! Just be aware there is a wide variety in quality out there.
We have bath towels from Almost Heaven that we have used in the fiver for six years and we like them as well as the good cotton towels we use in the sticks and bricks (That means we are using the microfiber for about half of the year). They are very absorbent, soft, and dry quickly - we hang them both on the same hook and they dry in a couple of hours.
We have purchased a lot of other towels from Almost Heaven for cleaning both inside and out and I just bought a complete outside cleaning package with a variety of different types from them at Escapade.
As I said above, be careful of what you buy. The stuff you find in most stores comes from China, while the ones from Almost Heaven are all made in Korea.
On Edit: DW says we have been using the bath towels for closer to 9 years (we have a couple sets) she likes the Almost Heaven product due to the feel, more like suede compared to the rough feel of cheaper microfiber, and she likes the absorbency. - NCWriterExplorerI have some extra large ones (sold on website by Rick Steves, the Europe travel guy).
Pluses: they are soft, thin and lightweight, dry very fast, have a loop for hanging. Big enough to do the job. Wash and dry very well, good quality. Have used them in the van for two years, still look new after many trips through campground laundromats.
Minuses: you have to get used to "blotting" yourself...they have a flat surface, not a pile texture like terry cloth towels. Only come in blue and green, if that matters. - edatlantaExplorerI recommend not using fabric softener on towels or wash cloths. Yes they are softer, but fabric softener kills their absorbency. Ever wonder why your towels don't absorb water as well as they did when they were new?
- 2012ColemanExplorer IIOnly you can answer this question - buy one and try it. If you don't like it, give it to the dog to lay on. If even the dog doesn't like it, you have a new garage towel.
