Minimalist married to clutter bug.

Going camping in a small camper, I take very little. On the other hand, my wife who rarely comes with, thinks she needs to take everything--just in case. How do others deal with this problem.?
  • your wife is correct. a person should take everything that even remotely may be needed.

  • After 44 years of marriage I can tell you to learn to live with it. If you want her to enjoy traveling, let her do it her way. At best you can only designate a small space for your stuff only and let her do as she wants with the rest of it. For marriage I have the rule of 3's. Tell them once. If they don't change, tell them a second time. If they still don't, don't bother trying a third time. They're not going to change. Then you have to decide if you can live with it and be quiet or go your separate ways.
  • You do have a problem.:B Has she looked at the available space? My wife is that way with clothes, she insists on staying clean so if a shirt gets smudged she won't wear it. I go two days unless it's hot.
