Having over a million miles pulling trailers for a living I've found out the hard way down sides of using different air pressure's in multi axle trailers.
The biggest issue is braking issues such as panic stops.
This can show up especially on hard downhill braking on wet pavement. Now add some curves in the road and your in trouble.
Panic stops can have the harder tires locking up causing flat spots even on dry pavement.
Its been my experience for best handling and braking on a trailer don't mix bias and radial tires.....load ranges....tread types and tire sizes.
Now for a lawn service trailer/utility trailer that gets pulled around town on occasion just about any tire will work.
