When you join a forum here, it is no different then coming upon a street corner preacher. You have two choices, you can stop and listen, and if it is appropriate, you can participate according to social mores and rules. Or you can just walk on by.
I have run up against the edge and sometimes over, and have been deleted. Sometimes I understand the rational and sometimes I don't, but I have no hard feelings to the mods. It's their 'hood.
What I object to is the whiners, who when things go against their beliefs, try to kill participation by using cheap tricks, like branding those that dissent against their ideas or beliefs as evil or crazy (but always in a polite way :R), or by using inflammatory words and hoping that mods will close the thread.
Sometimes I don't understand why some mods close threads, but I am guessing they see a lot of things that we don't, and its their prerogative. I just don't like some of them that over moderate. The forum were most of the non-RV related stuff should be moved to (ATC) is the one where the mod kills participation by over moderation. Go figure.
