In my opinion, it's more appropriate to tell troublemakers to just "shut on up" instead...although the last time I actually did that the aggrieved target of my request went screaming to the Moderator and got MY post deleted!
You were lucky.. Years ago I was a moderator in an IRC chat room. Some kids (Nasty hacker type) from overseas did not like the fact that they got locked out of the room (not by me I might add) and some tried to cause me grief and wound up with backfire (I had a few tools to deal with them,,, Which worked) one accused me of getting him kicked off IRC (No, he tried to flood me and I.. Well I had a one touch IGNORE key, it worked, and the error messages flooded HIM off). Well one of 'em followed me (I think) or one of the other room members to a new server, Operated by a security firm,, The hacker managed to crash one of their servers... I think his nickname now is "Stubbs" because it turned out he was using a school computer in a country where the Bibical line "If your hand is in sin cast it from you for it is better to enter heaven maimed than hell whole" is taken.. Literally. But hey, that's his problem, not mine.
But it goes to show what can happen.. The script folks and hackers were upset with me cause their hacks did not work (I was using the wrong OS for them so their 16 bit hacks bounced off my 8 big box).

There are a lot of people who believe that "Free Speech" gives them the right to say what they wish, you not so much.
The 1st amendment says: Congress Shall Make No Law.
But when you are in my house, in my living room, I am not at all prohibited from telling you to shut up or ship out.
This forum is the sponsor's living room.. So unless the sponer is the US Congress (For the record it's Affinity Group, Owners of campgrounds, and RV Sales companies among other things) there is no prohibition against speech limiting rules here. We are Guests and should respect the host.
Thus, I agree with that poster.
Thanks for listening.
