Looking at relocating to either Nevada or Arizona and I was curious what registering a 2018 Sprinter based MoHo would cost.I have options so I put both AZ and NV. The websites are not clear at all. I cannot see having to pay sales tax for a registered vehicle I currently own when moving there but I could be wrong.Any help would be appreciatedThanks

You will not have to pay sales tax again on the moho you own. However, expect to pay through the nose registering your 2018 Sprinter-based moho in AZ. I just purchased a new 2019 Sprinter-based moho and almost had a heart attack when I got the registration bill.If you'd like to know much I was charged, feel free to PM me.

No sales tax for relocating to a permanent addressThe VLT, vehicle license tax, is based on an assessed value of 60% of the manufacturer's base retail price reduced by 16.25% for each year since the vehicle was first registered in Arizona.the rate is calculated as $2.80 (new vehicles)/$2.89 (used vehicles) for each $100 of the assessed value.For example, for a new vehicle that costs $25,000, and is registered for two years, the first year assessed value would be $15,000 and the VLT would be $420.00. Mine will be 2 years old and registered in my current home state by the time I move there?

They will base your fee off msrp from when you purchased itYou'll be 2 years old so the fee will be discounted at the time you register it in AZAnd it doesn't matter what you paid for the rv.They go according to blue book msrpThe VIN will tell them what model you purchased.

I believe the only areas in Arizona that require emissions testing on all vehicles are Phoenix and Tucson.

AZ is very expensive and you need emissions testing every year on a motorhome from what relatives here tell me. Don't know if that's because of age or just any motorhome.

Contact Licensing Department at both States. Any info here is worth what it cost you.
