Since mine is hooked up to AC, I also run a dehumidifier during the winter. Mine is a Frigidaire 50 pt. and it does a great job. It's amazing to see how much water I have to empty every week or so. You can also run a drain tube outside if you can't empty the receptacle. It automatically shuts off when full.
