I'll agree that we as a society probably drink a little too much bottled water, BUT, there is a convenience factor (just like the drive through at the fast food place where we buy over sized soft drinks, coffee and tea).
And, sometimes local water or holding tank water can have an off taste...
I don't think folks are crazy for appreciating the convenience and taste of bottled water (and for those who bottle their own- sure, why not...but again the cost of that 24 pack is no more extravagant than the 24 pack of name brand soda or beer).
If I could get beer or soda out of the tap for a penny a gallon then I would agree that buying that 24 pack at the store is extravagant and foolish.
