FWIW -
Way back in the day when I was around 17 ( 39+ or - years ago ) or so I was pulled over by a Local Yokal while in route to the mountains.
I had removed the plow lights off the front of my truck, back in the day they were awful to look at while driving. It just so happened that I had a set of off road lights added to the plow frame.
The Super Cop pulled me for illegal running lights... While stopped , he hit me for illegal pictures in the rear window.. I had a full window screen of 2 BIG BUCK.
He then checked my gun rack to make sure it was TIGHT.. checked the shotgun in the rack to make sure it was not loaded.. checked the inside to make sure I had no ammunition..
I truly believe he stopped me because I was young and had a gun... but will never know..
Took my lumps and drove away.
I would hope things have changed in the past 40 years
