I've experienced just that and the buyer/looker wasn't in any hurry to come. So what would you do then, continue to wait for them to make up their mind when to come? Reading the original question he did contact the out of town buyer/looker who maybe could have come sooner but didn't. Why not? Unless he told the man he'd hold it until he got there or he knows for sure the guy is on his way I don't see where people figure he owes the guy the right to first refusal. Also the guy should have known his wife wouldn't approve of the door location before driving 4 hrs one way. Lookyloos are a dime a dozen which so far is all the seller has had. Some have mention about keeping your word I didn't read anything that said the seller led anyone on or made any promises
