My opinion is that if someone is going to look at an expensive item like a large motorhome, and is a serious buyer and not just a tire kicker, he would bring his wife with him and not have to go home to get her. Of course there could be a million reasons why he didn't have her but I think most fit the first category.

That post made me smile. Reminds me so much of boat buying. She gives her blessing to buy a boat that they can overnight on. I am talking 30' plus boats, not trailer boats. What does the dopey male do? He goes out & buys what he likes. He buys aa boat that is mostly about fishing & fast & happens to have an awkward V berth in the bow. It might also have a head & a sorry excuse for a galley.
A boat not very useful for weekending at all. By the second season you just know how little that boat gets used. She will find all kinds of excuses not to go out on it.
Now if the dopey male was a little smarter he would take her boat shopping & get something that has what is important to her such as a proper head with a shower, a useable galley, plenty of cabin storage, large water capacity & a decent centerline bed.
Same rules apply with an RV.Start with what is important to her.
