For every "classic", there's thousands of a 40yr old pieces of scrap metal.
Example: Knew a guy who loved Jaguars...he could buy old ones dirt cheap because the cost of keeping them running was more than they were worth. He had 5-6 in the back yard and basically used them as his personal junk yard for spare parts.
So if there is one lesson from this thread...don't tell someone on the phone you will hold an item for them. Make it clear, first person with an acceptable cash offer gets it.
