This is a Jack AZZ move. If YOU say to someone that you will wait for them after you speak to them and there is an agreed upon time to meet and you sell it out from under them that is Chicken ShnitZ.
So, don't say you will wait for them. Say, if it is still here when you arrive. Never agree to turn away another buyer unless you have a non-refundable deposit in hand. Note the use of the word "non-refundable."
