- lc0338ExplorerDon't spend extra money for nitrogen but nitrogen is used due to it is less likely to migrate through rubber and secondly the pressure is less likely to change during temperature swings. Race car drivers use nitrogen for this reason.
- sremsingExplorerAir is loaded with nitrogen. Why pay more for something you are already getting?

Can I use regular air to top off the tires if it is under pressure? I just don't know if it is okay to mix two different of air.
scam and a profit center. unless you're going to enter an Indy Car or NASCAR race save your money and use regular air. yes, you can mix the air. you may not be aware that the air we breathe is mostly nitrogen (78%), oxygen makes up just 21%.
Plus a little argon. Amazing what they charge for snake oil these days. I'm amazed how many they are scaming. - philhExplorer II

Do not use regular air. Nitrogen in your tires makes your trailer lighter. If you use regular air you will be over weight and be risking the safety of your family and everyone else on the road.

The nitrogen idea is simply a snake oil hoping YOU will part with your money thinking you have to have some kind of special "air?" in your tires. Just use a regular air hose and pump!
