Towing and Gas Mileage: My 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3 gets around 21 on the interstate, around town a little less. I get around 12 mpg when pulling my Puma 25RS, staying between 62 and 65 MPH on the interstate. I have a small two wheel trailer that I use to haul things, I have checked the gas mileage, it goes down to about 17 or 18. I can pull the trailer with my Dodge Caravan and can get a little better gas mileage comparing loads. I feel good if I can average above 10 mpg pulling my travel trailer with my truck. Oil difference, recently changed...need to keep a check on it.
