We bought a house two summers ago and stopped full timing last summer. We have 3/4 acre. We had most of it xeriscaped - desert landscaping - common here in western CO.
Like the other poster I do a once week 15 minute spray with Roundup and 24D.
We did save some grass in the front and side yard so I had to get a lawn mower. His name is Salvador and he charges me $10 a week to mow and trim.
We have an underground sprinkler system with an automatic timer that comes on three times a week. Also a drip system that waters the desert plants and trees.
I hate yard work.
