If you are going to own an RV, you had might as well face it.
We will all need to get used to the reality of increasing rates.
RV insurance used to be relatively inexpensive, due to less risk. It used to be the majority of RV owners were older, probably retired, careful drivers, that had very few accidents.
Owning an expensive RV was a luxury.
Today.....we all know the RV industry is selling all types in record numbers. People of all ages are jumping on board, and buying an RV. Which equates to record numbers on the road. As we have read here in these forums recently, too many of today's RV owners drive at much higher rates of speed. Accidents become catastrophic, and often deadly events. More and more 'inexperienced' owners having accidents and making damage claims. Similar to 16 year old drivers just acquiring a driver's license, there is a learning curve. Mistakes are made. Insurance companies are asked to cover the cost of the damage, and make everyone whole again.
It's pretty obvious that insurance is only going to become......more expensive. As more RV owners come online....the risk increases....along with rates.
