Nashville Traffic Warring Aug 21 -- Total Eclipse

This is really lizard brain behavior that people are following. Part of the "been there, done that" culture. I used the day I would otherwise have used to chase the eclipse to read the book "American Eclipse" about the Western US total eclipse of July, 1878.

A time when not much was known about the Sun's corona, helium had not yet been discovered as an element ( a nuclear fusion product), and nuclear fusion discovery itself was decades in the future. Thomas Edison was even involved. Good read.
