I understand the trying to get sales, but when you keep calling people on the DNC list over and over do you think that people will even buy what your selling? Word of mouth comes to mind, 1 person tells 2 people and so on. So are these people trying to piss people off?
Umm.. in 99.99% of these types of calls it it SCAMMERS who are SPAMMING you.
Scammers and spammers do not give two bits about any such stupid list as the "do not call" list.. In fact they most likely USE the Do Not Call list just to give them a bunch of numbers to target.
Remember, we ARE talking about FAKE companies or at least less than above board companies who are preying on trusting people in order to bilk them out of their hard earned money.
The only way you will get them to leave you alone is to IGNORE their phone calls.. They will call hundreds if not thousands of times until they decide the number is no good.
You have no control other than to ignore them.
Sure, you can report them but in most cases the number and addresses are FAKED or at least point to a empty building or store front.. Most if not all of them are really OUTSIDE THE STATES where the US law cannot touch them.
They use disposable VoIP accounts which is via Internet and they can also alter the ID numbers that their phone sends..
As far as businesses go, well in most cases they don't have much choice but to answer the phone.. But in 99.9% of the time once one realizes it is a spammer or scam they can hang up or bow out of the conversation.. Annoying, absolutely! But it is part of a modern day business that just cannot be avoided.
