You might want to look and see if it is stuck again. If there's some trash in the line a new pump may have the same issue. They are such a simple device there really isn't much that can go wrong besides a stuck valve or a torn diaphragm which is pretty obvious.
Took the pump apart again and the check valve was moving freely, I flushed it just to make sure. Pump still not priming. Went ahead and ordered new pump on Amazon and will be here Tuesday. I'll update once installed to let everyone know how it wored
