Bingo! Except I'd call it responsible living. Sure, unexpected things happen. But some feel they should finance everything and when things go south they're in a world of hurt.
That is what I call the generation gap.  Past generations paid their way as they went along. Today's generation wants it all NOW. No matter that they don't have the money to pay for it, they have a credit card.
