The other thing is any negative wires will (should) be continuous to ground, so with a multimeter you can check continuity to every wire and all that are continuous to ground (the chassis) are neg. All others are positive.
Otherwise can't help without seeing the setup. IE house loads vs chassis (starting and vehicle power like the wipers) loads.
