Need my travel trailer towed from Washington to Arizona

Hello, I will be having my travel trailer moved from Washington State to Arizona and I am asking people at RV Forum if they have had this done and also does anyone have any recommendations on companies to do the job. Any other suggestions would also be appreciated. Since this is a large travel trailer weighing 13500 lb I have no Truck heavy duty enough to pull it so I have to go elsewhere for this job to be done.

I agree with Newman...u ship it. Pulling 13.5K trailer isn't just a "rent a truck" option. Brakes, hitch weight approaching 2,000 pounds etc.

Actually you can, Enterprise Truck will rent you a 3500/350 with a class V hitch. Though at 13,500 you'd have to make sure it has the towing gears as the 1 tons tend to max out between 11,500 and 13,000 with the fuel economy gear. Still I'd probably just use u-ship because it won't be any more expensive and way less stressful. It's like when I moved and realized for what it cost to rent the big rider for the day and pay the insurance and per-mile fee it ended up being within 20% of what it would have cost to hire movers.

Yep, I live in Washington and I see many transporters advertise on Craigslist.

  • I think they are called hot shot drivers? Call around to RV dealers see if they can give you the contact.
  • I just did a very quick Google search on "Washington State, RV movers" and there were several "hits."

Here's just one of them. Click here.
