Might just be the type of tire you're running.
I recently traded my 12 Ram CTD in for an 18 Ram 2500 6.4. I'm towing the same 5er with the same B&W hitch. The 12 was rock solid running BFG KO2's. The new Ram is on Firestone Transforce AT's. It's squirry just driving empty. I have about 1200 miles on it with two tows of 250 miles Rt each.
I'm thinking the Stones are not as stable as the stiffer KO2's.
I should mention that I had no issue with the OEM Michelins prior to the KO2's.
