The DW and I travel together now, as all the kids are grown with families of their own. But gosh, do we have fun. Sleep wben we want, eat when we want, do nothing, do something, go somewhere or stay put.
We took our six-year-old granddaughter camping over the July 4th weekend, and we are so not ready to entertain little kids. She wanted to do EVERYTHING, and we wanted to do...relaxing. Thankfully, we took a lot of coloring books, crayons and library books. She wasn't very good at entertaining herself, but she got a little better and had fun.
We are taking our single-parent son and his three kids(one of which is the 6yo) camping this weekend in their shiny new tent. It's time for the tradition to continue - he grew up tent camping, and now it's time for his kids.
We will be in the MH...relaxing! ;)
