- BadPennyKennyExplorerThanks guys and Gals,
I did decide to stick with the Suburban (It had one before) but went with the 35 BTU in place of the 30 it had before. After pulling out the old one I found an additional panel that had been removed (On top)causing the outtake to vent into the return intake, as well as a hose that was not completely attached to the furnace. this on top of the shape the components were in at the exterior access panel makes me glad I decided to replace it. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIMost Atwood/Dometic Furnace have access via an external removable panel
Suburban.....some you have to remove furnace from casing to access components
Otherwise...they have same parts, same firing sequences, same - same
If both models have exterior access then its a toss up
**Both have had 'issues' - wa8yxmExplorer IIIFrankly I think it's a six/half dozen issue. in some cases if you need a new mother board and Go to Dinosaur boards.. Same board (FAN-50 for example) Fits both they are that much alike.
In other models that is not the case.
