Considering the prevalence of phones today, that basically gives police free reign to stop ANY vehicle they want any time they want and perform a warrantless search for the phone they thought they saw, plus "to confirm its usage"
"Show me your papers!"
Yea... calm down Chicken Little, we aren't Nazi Germany.
More people die in traffic collisions every year than die by gun... over 40,000 by car, approximately 15,500 including suicide and legal killings. Pardon me if I support the police enforcing these laws and trying to prevent these deaths.
Oh yea, the Supreme Court has already ruled that police cannot search a phone without consent or arrest warrant, not even a search incidental to arrest. I think that foil hat might be getting too tight...
For someone so intent on regulating everything with an iron fist, you somehow find yourself immune to the forum rules about name calling and disrespectful posting :R
BTW, latest rulings show that if you don't have a LOCK CODE on your phone, it is up for grabs without a warrant. No kidding.
You know what to do with your foil hat.
