But I would wager a bet that far more drivers sitting with two pedals are waiting for the light to turn yellow before moving. I completely agree about drivers not moving when the light turns creating the yo-yo effect. One of my pet peeves.
After rereading I think my comments made have been misunderstood. I’m not saying a stick shift makes a driver slower to respond (as was pointed out, many are actually more “active” drivers watching the other lights) but rather that it increases the time for those who are daydreaming. I’ve probably remembered it most when actually riding with someone who does it as I feel for those behind us.
