^^^^^^^I can see a difference in subject, but that doesn't mean that the individuals involved will behave differently.
And I'm sure local law enforcement like county sheriffs and small town LEO's don't get the same type of specialized training that large city, and state LEO's do. At least I hope so.
"I think cellphone use and texting in vehicles while driving should be banned completely (cops notwithstanding) and lockout devices should be installed (the technology exists) but doubt that would ever happen due to lobbying from the phone manufacturers."
Amen. Too much revenue would be lost by the telecom companies, not to mention the fact that automakers are investing heavily in in-car communications.
